Emerging Opportunities Tips

1. Be Intentional: you want that opportunity so badly but you are not even sure what you want. You must be intentional about it, you must make a continuous and conscious effort through creativity thinking.

2. Harness your natural talent: think deeply about your passion and interest regardless of your background or discipline. Ask yourself the question, what do I want to do and what is available?

3. Create a checklist: creating a checklist is one of the habit of top performer in their industry. In other for you to get there;
- Create a list of career aspiration,
- Prioritize your need from your career aspiration list,... The location, position, benefit and how it align with your life.

4. Gather Information: build a list of companies to watch out for future openings and position that are a good fit for now.

5. Conduct a personal SWOT analysis: seek expert advice on this if you must to help with analysing you, what are your Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat to new opportunities you are looking out for?

8. Track emerging opportunities: find out what jobs/opportunities are trending and in demand. What are the employment/opportunity forecast are for the coming years. Start imagining how Post Covid era will look like and give yourself opportunity to be useful in that era.

9. Networking: attend events, search new trends and get updates on emerging opportunities. Spend time to improve yourself through network. Like Oyindamola Johnson would say, "it’s less crowded at the top". How do you want to get there? Start meeting people that matters and have a powerful network.

10. Carve a Niche: create a new brand and value in your niche. Be known for a value that you bring to the market place. In this article, I have mentioned two powerful people who have carved a niche for themselves and are known as global change maker, what do you want to be?
