Let’s talk about purpose of goals.
If you don’t consciously set goals, that is, you don’t plan on paper or set targets for the weeks, months and years ahead, then pay a very close attention to this information. It can dramatically improve your life.

A GOAL IS THE ONGOING PURSUIT OF A WORTHY OBJECTIVE UNTIL ACCOMPLISHED.

Consider the following in the last definition, “Ongoing’’ means it’s a progress, because goals take time. “Pursuit’’ indicates a chase maybe involved, there will be likely obstacles and hurdles to overcome. “Worthy’’ shows that the chase will be worthwhile, that there’s a big enough reward at the end of the tough times.

Remember tough time never last but tough people do. Setting and achieving goals is one of the best ways to measure your life’s progress and create unusual CLARITY.

Top 10- Goals CHECKLIST
Let me share the top 10 goals checklist, this is according to David Letterman in the USA, a popular talk show host.

🌹 Your most important goals must be yours,

🌹 Your goals must be meaningful,

🌹 Your goals must be specific and measurable,

🌹 Your goals must be flexible,

🌹 Your goals must be challenging and exciting,

🌹 Your goals must be in alignment with your values,

🌹 Your goals must be well balanced,

🌹 Your goals must be realistic,

🌹 Yours goals must include contribution,

🌹 Your goals need to be supported.

For achieving the above, you need a master plan, “Action may not always bring happiness. But there is no happiness without action.” — Benjamin Disraeli

Master PLAN
We have laid a ground work, it’s time to get started on your own master plan, there are 6 major steps to creating you’re your better future.

Read through these six steps and then set time aside to implement each strategy.

1. Review the Top-10 Goals Checklist: when you take time to review the top 10 checklist, it will help you design a clear picture of your life.

2. The 101 goals: make a list of 101 things you want to accomplish in the next 10 years. Do this with fun and open mind with a childlike enthusiasm. For example, write down something like, I am working with the United Nation’s from next month.

Important questions you can ask are:

👉🏿 What do I want to do?

👉🏿 What do I want to have?

👉🏿 Where do I want to go?

👉🏿 What contribution do I want to make?

👉🏿 What do I want to become?

👉🏿 What do I want to learn?

👉🏿 Who do I want to spend my time with?

👉🏿 How much do I want to earn, save and invest?

👉🏿 How much time do I want off for fun?

👉🏿 What will I do to create optimum health?

3. Create a Picture Goals Book: this should be part of your master plan, a picture goal book, creating a picture book of your most important goals can be very exciting, buy a large photo album make a photo album of the future you want. Example if one your goal is to work at the United Nations, put the picture of the HQ of United Nations in New York in your album and put a tag in bold, ‘I am enjoying my work hours at the United Nations office’.

I X V = R principle (Imagination mixed with Vividness becomes Reality).

4. Use an Ideas book: Jim Rohn said, “You truly get to know the quality of your thought when you write them down. Do you know how? It down”.

I mastered this plan so well at my last job with my Japanese boss & mentor in Lagos. Idea book help you expand your awareness. By recording your best thoughts in writing, you never need to rely on your memory.

5. Visualize. Think, Reflect and Review: When Peter Daniels was asked how he turned his life around, he said, ‘I scheduled time to think. In fact, I reserve one day a week on my calendar just to think’. The future you picture will feature in your future. Use your positive imagination to create winning pictures. The sharper these images are and the more intense you feel, the more likely you are to create the desired result.

6. Develop a mentors and Mastermind Groups: you can have a major improvement and productivity is by enlisting the aid of people who have experience in areas where you need the most help, that is through mentorship. You can also form a mastermind group, these consist of four to six people who meet regularly to share ideas and support each other. Cultivating advice and wisdom from specific mentors propels you to faster results.

Finally, design your goals in these categories;

⏳Financial

⏳Business/Career

⏳Fun time

⏳Health and Fitness

⏳Relationships

⏳Personal

⏳Contributions (Volunteering)

Like all successful habits, developing the habits of unusual clarity takes effort and daily discipline.

Remember it is an ongoing process.
