Resolve to Win

It’s another Monday right,

As always, I am going to speak out from my heart in writing but this time
It is going to be a short story.

It happened that three things happened to me within last week and for the rest of this week,
I will share the story with you and lesson learnt.

If you have ever experience toothache, then you know the feelings that comes with the pain, this is what happened to me and I could not hold back.

I removed the tooth and dentist found out another issue, forget that part…
Then I started 7 days, 7 times a day using hot water and salt to care for my mouth without eating solid food.

How does that feel, when you can’t eat your favorite meal?

I was longing for my favorite, which is beans and plantain, then on Wednesday, I could no longer take it.

It was already 10:30pm and I still want to eat beans and plantain. Not an healthy habit right?

I was tired, feverish and in pain… yet I want beans.
But then, I cooked the beans anyways, by 12am, I was eating my beans and plantain and smiling.

Here is the lesson, while eating, the still small voice came again and said, “Do you know this is always the feelings you have when you achieve your goals”?

See, there are four emotions that can help us succeed, one of them is, “RESOLVE”.
Resolve says, “I will.” These two words are among the most potent in the English language. I WILL. Benjamin Disraeli, the great British statesman, once said, “Nothing can resist a human will that will stake even its existence on the extent of its purpose.” In other words, when someone resolves to “do or die,” nothing can stop him.
