What are you becoming?

I have also been someone who thirst for MORE knowledge, for personal development but most importantly to add values to people around me.

This thirst years ago led me into my first job as a volunteer in the health sector, for those period in my life time l learnt so much about working with people as a team, you know how it is when you work in a hospital. The hospital won't be effective with no medical record staff, nurses, community health workers, doctors, pharmacists, security guard ...

So I used this lesson at every Organization I have worked or volunteered for, years ago I thirst for more knowledge in public health and I couldn't get admission at one of the most prestigious University in Nigeria but this I know what a man reads pour massive ingredients in his mental factory, and the fabric of his life is built from those ingredients. What are my options? I continue to sort for knowledge through the internet and add more values to myself.

Years later, I build myself to becoming more valuable in the community development profession. In late 2017 together with two students from Lagos State University, Adebiyi Kehinde Samuel and Abiona O. Oludayo we started the Sdgs Act Lagos on Campus, today we have an SDGs Club in four universities in Nigeria and trained hundreds of youth taking sustainable action.

In the process of becoming, and sharing values with others, I remembered challenging on of our members who is currently serving in Oyo State, Omobolanle Awojobi Aminat to ensure she made impact through her knowledge of the SDGs where she is serving. I am happy she is doing amazingly great and more to that she introduced me to the NYSC SDGs in Oyo State to make input to their upcoming conference in Ibadan this month and I jumped at the opportunity to assist the team within my capacity.

Funny how it turns out that I will be sharing my experience and stories with amazing young Nigeria at the University I once sort for admission. They key to this is personal development, "learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job".

Set SMART Goals and remember the purpose of setting goals is for what it makes you do to ACCOMPLISH IT.
